This privacy notice explains how fomoscan ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the fomoscan browser extension for Google Chrome and its supporting services (together, the "Extension").
The Extension is an independent, unofficial tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by fomo.family or its operators. All trademarks and brands are the property of their respective owners.
This notice covers the Extension specifically. Our mobile application and website are addressed in our separate privacy notice.
By installing or using the Extension, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
The Extension has no account, no login, and no sign-up. It collects only a very limited set of information, in three ways: (a) preferences saved on your device, (b) public information shown on the page you are viewing, and (c) the minimal information sent to our service to confirm a wallet address.
A. Preferences saved on your device
This is saved locally in your browser. It stays on your device, is not synced to your Google Account by us, and is never sent to us or anyone else.
B. Public information shown on the page
When you view a public profile on a supported website, the Extension reads information that is already shown publicly on that page, such as the profile's public username, its public account identifier, and publicly displayed details used to look up a wallet address. This information is about the profile you are viewing, which may be someone else. The Extension does not read your login or your credentials, and it does not identify you.
C. Information sent to our service
To show a verified wallet address, the Extension contacts our own server and sends the public username so we can return a wallet address that has already been confirmed. The first time a particular profile is looked up, the Extension also sends the minimal public information needed to confirm that profile's wallet address, which our server checks against public blockchain records. We never include any login, password, session, or other credential in these requests.
Note: The Extension never asks for — and you should never send us — secrets such as private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.
What we do NOT collect. The Extension does not collect contact details, account credentials, passwords, login sessions, cookies, private keys, social-login data, device or usage analytics, location, browsing history, or payment or financial-account information. A wallet address is public information, not financial or payment information.
